Who the hell is Robër Pierre?

I am a slowly but surely approaching twenty, young nineteen who is currently an artist, writer, contributor, team member to GrungeCake Magazine who has dreams of having my hands in multiple projects and fields of art and life itself. I visualize myself being a graphic artist, photographer, DJ, writer / journalist / blogger, owning clubs, spaces, vintage stores and what have you. If someone was to ask me my plan to make any which one of these things happen, I'd have to say "pass" and tell them "watch and let my life's journey answer". Me? I'm obsessed. No, infatuated. Infatuated with ideas like new wave art, sexuality, old school hip hop, technology, meeting new people, seeing new faces / styles, along with thousands more ideas which my blog lay out on a day to day.

Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging for many, many reasons. I'd always loved expressing myself through both words and visual art and blogging tied those two together. I've always created, manipulated and designed my own layouts which kept my graphic juices flowing. Blogging became a mass means of social networking. It was a great way to share a bit of my life a little more everyday with my readers. One thing which I take a lot of pride in was the aspect of being able to support a rising or struggling artist, musician, blogger, designer, or any other sort of individual that caught my eye that was worth exposing to the half-blind eye. I think being able to lend that supportive hand was and is so important to me because me, myself, as an artist too needs that shared support and shed light.

What is the concept behind Maiden China bu?

The concept of my blog, Maiden China Bu is broad but simple. It's to inspire and shed light on my inspirations from people, music, fashion / style and design. It's to support, as I fore mentioned not only others but me and my work, and to share my experiences and simply the things I invest passion into. In a nutshell I give you music, fashion, sex, art, design, films, publications, politics and those things as they developed in the past, progressed to the present and where they appear to be headed in the near / far future. No grand importance or meaning resides in the name as it's a product of one night of a sex crazed, drug abusing, mind wandering, foot prancing, body swaying artist that stands before you now.

Any new project(s) coming for Robër?

Of course, of course. The biggest thing right now I'm working on with a friend of mine is an online shoppe that will sell from vintage to new clothing / shoes / jewelry / other accessories. "Doublisse" (Dew•bleez), the name is product of a combined, (Double)(Bliss). We have much more embedded as to what else will grow from that, so keep your eyes peeled and ears open. As far as for me personally, I know as long as I keep putting one foot in front of the other, hoping and working hard to maintain and progress as a rising artist, things will keep coming my way.
